The fast answer
Denver Dental Help is designed toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA so people can read, navigate, and act on urgent dental information using different devices and assistive technologies. This is an ongoing target, not a claim of independent certification. If a barrier prevents you from using the site, email or call us and ask for the information in another usable format.
Call Star DentalIf you are unsure which setting is right, use the dentist-or-ER guide or call a healthcare professional.
DO THIS FIRST
What to do now
- 1
Use the skip link, headings, page contents, and descriptive links to move through a guide.
- 2
Zoom or enlarge text; the layouts are designed to reflow on small screens.
- 3
Report the page, the task you could not complete, and the device or assistive technology involved.
- 4
For urgent care or an accommodation at a dental visit, call the dental office directly rather than waiting for a website reply.
Our accessibility commitment
Star Dental PLLC publishes Denver Dental Help for patients and families who may be in pain, under time pressure, using a phone, or relying on assistive technology. We work to provide comparable access to the site’s information and care links for people with disabilities. WCAG 2.2 Level AA is the site’s working technical target. Accessibility is treated as continuing maintenance rather than a one-time badge, overlay, or guarantee that every combination of device and software will behave identically.
How the site supports different ways of browsing
The shared experience uses semantic headings and landmarks, a skip-to-content link, visible keyboard focus, native links and controls, descriptive page titles, breadcrumb navigation, in-page jump links, and layouts intended to reflow when text is enlarged. Color is not intended to be the only way important meaning is communicated. Motion is reduced when the device requests reduced motion, and tap targets are sized for touch use.
- English and Spanish pages identify their language and link directly to the matching topic.
- Meaningful photographs and illustrations have text alternatives; decorative images use empty alternatives.
- Primary navigation and patient guides remain available as ordinary links rather than pointer-only interactions.
How visual guides are made understandable
Each guide includes a route-specific visual action plan. The title and practical steps shown in that image also appear as selectable text on the page, so a patient does not have to read the graphic to get the instructions. The image includes an accessible title and description, and the surrounding caption explains its purpose. If an image or diagram remains unclear, ask for the same information in text by identifying the page address.
Compatibility and current assessment status
The site relies on current HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SVG support and is intended for modern browsers, keyboard navigation, screen magnification, voice input, and screen-reader use. Automated checks and source-level review are part of each release, but automated results cannot prove complete accessibility. A formal independent conformance assessment has not yet been completed, so the site does not claim certified or complete WCAG conformance.
External services and known limitations
Some links open separate Star Dental phone, email, or appointment systems; others open third-party maps, benefits, hospitals, or professional sources. The separate systems’ accessibility, language support, and compatibility may differ, and third-party services are not controlled by Denver Dental Help. Spanish pages also use an early browser script to align the document language while the visible page content is explicitly marked as Spanish; an older or script-blocking environment may initially announce the document as English. Tell us if either issue blocks a task so we can provide a direct route or text alternative and prioritize a repair.
Report a barrier or request another format
Email info@mystardental.com with “Denver Dental Help accessibility” in the subject, call 303-222-1414, or write to Star Dental, 1490 S Sheridan Blvd, Suite 102, Denver, CO 80232. Include the affected page, what you were trying to do, what happened, and any browser, device, or assistive-technology details you are comfortable sharing. Do not include dental records, insurance numbers, payment information, or detailed health information in an accessibility report. We will review the barrier and work to provide the information or function through a reasonable alternative while a repair is evaluated.
Dental-office accommodations are a separate request
A website report does not schedule care or arrange an accommodation for a dental visit. Call Star Dental directly to discuss wheelchair access, communication assistance, a support person, sensory needs, interpretation, or another accommodation before traveling. The office must confirm what can be arranged for the patient and appointment. A person with breathing trouble, severe choking, major facial injury, confusion, or uncontrolled bleeding should call 911 rather than wait for an accessibility response.
QUESTIONS PATIENTS ASK
Common questions
Does this statement mean the site is certified as fully accessible?
No. WCAG 2.2 Level AA is the working target, and accessibility checks are part of development. The site has not received an independent certification, and a statement does not replace testing and repair.
What should I include in an accessibility report?
Include the page address, the link or task involved, what you expected, what happened, and optional details about your browser, device, keyboard, screen reader, magnifier, voice control, or other technology. Do not send private clinical or payment information.
Can I get the same information without using an infographic?
Yes. The practical steps in each infographic are also written as page text. If another format would help, identify the page when you email or call.
Can the website team arrange help during my dental appointment?
No. Call the dental office directly before the visit so it can discuss the patient’s communication, mobility, sensory, language, or support needs and confirm available arrangements.
